Representing the voice of the people, the legislative bodies of the United States, Mexico and Canada, respectively, have the potential to play an important role in enhancing cooperation and dialogue among the peoples of our continent. Yet amidst frequent elections and competing political and legislative priorities, the full breadth of possibilities for legislative diplomacy has not always been fully explored. This conversation will explore the potential for legislators to advance diplomacy and how stronger ties and deeper understanding among policymakers across our three countries be cultivated.
