After a 5-year stalemate, the leaders of Mexico, the United States, and Canada met in November 2021 in Washington, D.C. The three leaders pledged to take concrete actions in support of joint goals for the region and committed to strengthen supply chains, promote sustainability and work towards safe, orderly and regular migration, while ensuring diversity and an egalitarian vision of the region remains at the center of all efforts. The panel “Defining a common forward agenda: Towards the upcoming NALS” addressed the agenda items for the tenth NALS summit, expected to take place in Mexico at the end of the year.
