The one-on-one conversation with Ambassador Esteban Moctezuma, interviewed by Claudia Núñez Sañudo, the North Capital Forum Director, was full of realities put into words about the challenges and opportunities that Mexico has today; not only because of the current worldwide situation, but also because of the continued strengthening of the bilateral and trilateral relationship with the United States and Canada.

Ambassador Moctezuma spoke about how we can see North America as a concept, and as the example the world needs of a strong and developing region with many opportunities to continue growing. He also said how it’s essential for both, Mexicans and Americans to understand the deep reliance we have on each other, not only on political terms, but also in economic and social levels. Furthermore, he talked about how to address the challenge of the border between Mexico and the United States, where it’s mainly seen as a problem, but in reality it’s an opportunity for many people that take the best out of both worlds. He concluded that it’s essential to share the common values between North America, and Claudia reminded us to take responsibility and use our power to serve others.
